Parent Plus, Inc. is a progressive IRS 501(c)3 recognized Non-Profit corporation organization founded in 2005 to help children across the US. Backed by a core of confident, dedicated, and passionate individuals who form the Board of Directors, the organization administers three innovative programs.

Programs
Providing Opportunities
Our effort to reach families experiencing personal loss includes letters to nearly 500 school counselors, county social services agencies, bereavement groups, and mental health organizations. Many of these professionals have asked questions, offered comments, given us positive feedback, and provide numerous referrals.
In less than two full years of operation we have engaged over 35 children and families in our programs, connecting them with a diverse range of activities including community theater, nature camp, junior police academy, soccer camp, basketball camp, and more. We feel that this organization plays a vital role in the development and growth of children and families recovering from loss.
Two additional programs have secured funding and will strengthen the primary objectives of the Life Link program. Reaching For the Stars works to support a child's involvement in Life Link related activities by providing information on loss and recovery to coaches, instructors, teachers, and mentors. The Friends for Life initiative is being developed with the broader objective of helping the family as a whole by providing emergency assistance and support
Building our Board of Directors
One of the most important aspects of nonprofit work is building a Board of Directors that guides the organization through its role in the community and meeting the mission objectives. Parent Plus Incorporated operates using many of the same fundamental business practices and organizational principles that are characteristic of any business, which requires professional guidance in financial management, risk assessment, program development, and daily operations.
One main difference is that we do not exist to generate an annual profit. Our corporate goal is to fulfill the needs of two customers: the client and the benefactor. To achieve this objective the organization requires a Board comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise. A working Board ensures the delivery of a consistent and sustainable quality of service.
